Just bought a big xpen, small travel carrier. Getting a Coonhound , she will grow to about 70 lbs. Have everything incl. toys and a 7 year old Beagle to keep her company and help her grow to be a good hound. Welcome home Jorja.

great article but they forgot the extra 1,000 dollars worth of stuff your puppy might destroy or training that might be required! Puppies are worth it though!

We added an 8 week old puppy to our our household about 2 weeks ago. I dont remember the work load being much like caring for a human infant!

My husband and I just added our first puppy to our family! On the first day we dashed to Petsmart and spent hours picking through all of the products they have on the market these days for puppies. Fortunately our vet gave us great advice, "Don't spend to much time and money on all of the knick knacks for your puppy, you will drive your self crazy, at the end of the day they don't know the difference between a $100 orthopedic plush bed and an old hand-me-down blanket".
