Linda Ann Great Bend, KS 1/22/2012 5:19:55 PM I wonder if there are some dogs who just do not like or respect certain humans. My 18 month Granddaugher was bit by an adult JR on her face when he was visiting her home, and it happened right in front of her Mother sitting on the floor! The dog left about 8 puncture wounds on her cheek and she has a scar right below her eye left from the deeper tear mark left by this dog. 6 months later, when visiting the house where the dog lived, the dog destroyed her diaper bag when it was left in a room where the dog was kept "away from the baby".
Aaron Tucson, AZ 3/17/2011 2:49:21 PM Awesome article. I actually had the idea of putting a clean washcloth under some water and freezing it before I read this article, but it worked out great! It's a cheap and safe solution for my teething puppy who has been chewing through all her toys like mad!

Tammy Pace, FL 11/14/2007 6:30:36 AM I am sorry, but I disagree that dogs do not do things to get back at you. There are 3 of us in my home and when 1 particular person punishes our dog she will find something that belongs to that person and chew it to pieces. For instance, my son punished her and out of the 3 pairs of shoes on the porch she only chewed his up. Tha is just 1 instance, there have been many.
