It's so cool that there are many foods that dogs can eat that we can eat too! My dog eats regular kibble. Maybe i may start making home made treats once in a while. Thanks!

I cook a big pot of rice and just boil chicken or ground turkey and add that to their kibble. I do this at the same time I'm cooking dinner. Crunching on the kibble will help keep the plaque build-up at bay. Although you should brush their teeth as well.

I own several dog cookbooks and I cook for my dogs everyday. I have three dogs, but also feed neighbor dogs as well; so I need to stretch the commercial dog food for a week. And with the contaminated dog food that we had, I cook a big pot of rice and boil ground turkey or a chicken breast in garlic water until done and then I mix it with the rice and add about 1/2 cup to the dog food. Plus I bake my own biscuits, in fact my daughter has even eaten some of those. I enoy cooking for my four-legged babies that way I know what they are eating. Fortunately my anmials werre spared through the recall, but there were so many that did not because the owners don't pay attention that a dog is maintained pretty much the same way a child is maintained.

I think cooking for your dog is kind of weird.

I'm happy to see that there is another cookbook out for humans and their fur family. I will be buying this book for my family.
