We have a 4 year old male Leonberger named "BUCK" He's at the larger end of the size scale, 321/2" & 170 lbs. and is in excellent shape. Due to his large size we have his veterinarian look him over every few months just to get his opinion. We have given "BUCK" a pro-biotic pill since we first got him at 8 weeks old and he has never had any type of digestive
He is very active and walks 3-5 miles Everyday no matter what the weather is.. He is just GREAT dog.

We have 2 female leonberger's,or Leo's as they're called. They are the gentlest of dogs, great with kids very tuned in to one's mood. Very easy to train, but can be willful. They are the best of the big dogs. And absolutely beautiful. But do need daily brushing, they love the snow and cold weather.A non aggressive dog.

I saw a pair of Leonbergers at the Veterinary Clinic yesterday. They were gorgeous dogs with their black faces and incredibly soft coats. The female lay down as I approached with my miniature dachshund. The owner said she was in the habit of lying down when a small dog was near so that she could greet them.

I enjoyed meeting these Leonbergers and learning about them.

we have a male, Bruno and he is so very easy. He was easy to house break, every time we took him out he immediately urinated. He is so very loving and calm. He is good with other dogs and birds. We have no cats. He has a very sensitive stomach and can not have rich or table food. He makes no demands but needs activities he is only 1.5 years old. He also walks very good on his lead. I have owned German Shorthairs for40 years and was used to their need to hunt.
