Pat St Louis, MO 7/2/2008 1:32:52 PM It's about time! Believe me, I have great sympathy for people with rodent problems. My yard backs up to a storm sewer, not all the neighbors are fastidious about garbage storage, and we have rat infestations in the neighhborhood with alarming regularity. I mean, at some point in time you have to do something. Even my very predatory dog can't take out a dozen rats per week! I have set out bait traps in dog inaccessible places, but I've noticed a lot of people aren't so savvy. One neighbor got several packets of rodent poison and just strewed them about his property willy-nilly. In addition to the fact that other wildlife could (and did) get into the bait, I had to be on constant patrol that one of the critters didn't drag a bait packet into my yard where my dog could chow down on it. I could easily see a toddler helping himself too. I wish to God that people would use their heads! But if the EPA gets into the act that should cut down on the abuse of rodenticides.
Liza Grand Bay-Westfield, NB 6/1/2008 5:33:40 AM That's a step in the right direction. It's nice to see government agencies actually considering the welfare of animals. I wish Canada was more on the ball with that stuff.
Donna Limington, ME 5/31/2008 9:58:48 AM Well it is about time, we lost a cat that had eaten a mouse with the poison in it. I have not bought anything since!
