Katie Billings, MT 3/7/2010 7:30:43 PM Our Chihuahua started drinking large amounts of water. She also developed a "pot belly." She was diagnosed with Cushings disease. She has recently started medication to help with this. We are still working on trying to get the right doses at the right levels.
Nina Fountain Valley, CA 6/18/2009 7:00:39 PM My nine year old Australian Shepherd loves to drink water! I don't think it's normal, because she drinks for like five minutes at one time! We take her outside for potty breaks and drink breaks regularlly, so I don't think she is dehydrated. She also has this lump on her upper right shoulder. In the article, you mentioned that tumors are a cause of exxcessive drinking. I don't know for a fact it is a tumor, but it might be the problem. Please help!
