The PETA web site reported that one of the dogs was returned to this man. Is this true???

I would have no problem with castrating these scumbags so they don't spawn and regenerate. I truly hope they pay, in a big way, in prison.

Hopefully the first of many dog fighting busts! I only regret that the penalties aren't stiffer! I can't even believe how "popular" this is becoming.

I would have loved to have been there to help!!! I hope the judge is a animal lover and gives hime the stiffest sentence allowed by that love. Congrats to all of those who helped and yeah to the dog's. This is one more victory in along fight to stop dog fighting!

I think the jail time and the fine should be harsher. Five thousand...they could make that back when they go back into the dogfighting business when they get out of prison after serving only one year. Dogfighting earns big bucks...that's why they do make it hit their wallet harder!

That's great that they found him out. It weird that a lot of the dog fighters are in the south.

I do not think the new law is harsh enough. Maybe if these people had to spend more time in jail and pay a larger fine, they would stop this insane behavior. Perhaps if it were 1 to five years per dog and at least $10,000.

People like this do not care about the's all about the mighty dollar. Hit them where it hurts, and less will commit this crime.
