Pat San Angelo, TX 7/23/2008 2:25:03 PM I think Joan is so right. The important thing is not that the pet died, as painful as that is. The important thing is that the pet lived, and getting a new pet does not make anyone forget the old one or make that life less important or the relationship with the deceased pet less meaningful. Adopting a new pet just helps your heart grow a little bigger and saves another, very important, life.
