My dog will do anything just to please me. I don't have to offer her a reward. My happiness is hers and vice versa.

Try, try try very hard to reward with love, toys, praise anything but food and if you must use food try green beans; out of the can into the microwave once cooled my cairn loved like crazy, and one of the reasons he isn't around anymore is because he was our first dog and we fed and treated him to do everything; it worked until it was a factor in his death. And my pain is can't be expressed in words.

My dog loves anything food. To help keep her weight down my Vet recommended plain unsalted rice cakes!

Been working with my dog for quite awhile! So much easier when you work as 1!

I definately have a food motivated dog! :) I will try what you said on tapering off the treats by only offering them occasionally, as a surprise. That way she won't be so dependent on them. Thanks!
