Just finished reaing Izzy & Lenore-what a great book! Thoroughly enjoyed every page. Another outstanding read from Jon Katz. As an unabashed dog lover, I revel in his stories.

The author, who will share stores from his new book, Izzy and Lenore: Two Dogs, an Unexpected Journey, and Me(Random House, September 2008), will be accompanied by his dogs, Izzy and Lenore.


His book “… examines two of his exceptional dogs and the mysterious power they have in their interactions with the humans around them. One healed his own soul and the other brought Jon into some of the most gratifying work of his life, that of a hospice volunteer in Washington County, in Upstate New York,” reads an excerpt on the Random House web

A special champagne reception and book signing with the author, at a ticket price of $125 per person, will be held from 6:30 - 7:30 PM; admission at this level includes a copy of the book and preferred seating for a public presentation to follow, from 7:30 - 9:00 PM.
