Judy Kalamazoo, MI 1/10/2009 4:53:53 PM Both of my dogs were diagnosed with renal failure on Dec. 17th, 08. They are not related dogs. One was 16 the other 8. After two weeks of subcutaneous and IV therapy the 8 year old passed away on Jan.4. The 16 year old is still very fragile and health outcome is unknown. Both dogs ate food by pedigree and treats from Ol Roy not included on initial recall. It is incomprehensible that this problem continues and the public is not continuing to be updated. I lost a dog, who one month ago was perfectly healthy...how can we stop this from happening to other pet owners? Thanks for your article...it is not coincidental that animals are still dying.
Paul Southport, NC 9/21/2008 12:14:41 PM Why did it take until September for food manufactured between Feb and Aug to finally be recalled?
Patty Youngstown, OH 9/18/2008 7:07:17 PM I can't believe that this is happening again. I sure hope that they find out what is causing it.
Sue 3 Oaks, MI 9/18/2008 3:04:19 PM How could the very first recall not have been a bigger wake-up call? This is downright frightening! We have entire web sites devoted to pets & owners because we love them so much, yet cannot feel safe buying food for them--how pathetic!!
Anna Maple Grove, MN 9/18/2008 2:52:48 PM Wow, I've heard of alot of pet food recalls lately! And some of these brands are popular- Ol' Roy, Pedigree, etc. Hope my brand's not next!
Della Madison Heights, VA 9/18/2008 9:00:13 AM This recall is a bunch of crap. Scary to think what's next.
Becky Hastings, MN 9/18/2008 8:47:02 AM this is getting way out of hand!!! If people would run thorough inspections of the ingredients they put in the products, we wouldn't be in this mess!
Jenny New Oxford, PA 9/18/2008 4:50:22 AM Holy Cow! These are major brand name foods in the state of PA, I hope all of this dog food has be removed from store shelves in a timely manner!
