My family and i have had i think 4 cats in the past but they are all gone and now we have 2 1 year old goldendoodle puppies and we absolutely love them! they go in about once every year for shots and otherwise thats about it! i have to say that cats were a little easier to handle but they just arent as fun as dogs!!

Interesting facts! I have both dogs and cats and all go to the vet for their check ups and vaccinations.

Our cats go to the vet with our dogs once a year to get their shots. Otherwise they only go if they're sick. Checkups are too expensive.

Very interesting survey! I know my kitties go to the vet once a year and are indoor only! I wonder how they get their data!

I'm curious if most of the cat owners owned indoor cat, which clearly people would tend to think they have to take them to the vet less. Hopefully, dogs are out & about all the time, so there tends to be a bit more concern about seeking vet care.

Interesting article. I wonder if it has anything to do with the more "in your face" approach that dogs take. Cats (in general) tend to be more independent...

dogs probably get more vet care because more dogs than cats go places like obidence class and parks, where they're required to have shots and stuff

Cats are easier to take care of.

Hmmm...I have noticed that, another thing is dog people ussually are friendlier and more outgoing, while cat people are more reserved. I LOVE DOGS!!!
