bill tacoma, WA 1/29/2009 5:05:29 PM this is a personal thing. tell all these people to butt out. show this family some respect & let them be able to decide for themselves.
Lynne Las Cruces, NM 1/9/2009 3:20:20 PM Kerry Washington's idea sounds great. But where do you find such a mix other than beng lucky at the rescue sites or pounds?
Scarlett Alpharetta, GA 1/8/2009 8:16:09 AM I think President-elect Obama should rescue a shelter dog. It would be a good way to set a good example for the people of America. It would be a smart move on Obama's part.
kelly hawthron woods, IL 1/8/2009 5:20:08 AM get a cavalier king charles spaniel! they are so sweet and cute. i have one named lucy! go to petfinder.com to find the perfect pet!
Sabre Mountain Home, AR 1/7/2009 8:29:41 PM Do not overlook or underestimate a miniature Dachshund. They are loyal, protective, not just a lap dog, but active as well. Dachshunds hold themselves regally when being walked on a leash in front of a crowd. They know how to be a crowd favorite. check out some beautiful Dachshunds at www.aureusdachshunds.com before committing to any dog. You may want to consider 2 dogs. One dog each of your daughters and the dogs can entertain themselves when left alone. They will get a lot of exercise by the normal running and playing tug o-war...and I've got the favorite toy and you can't catch me. Whatever dog your family choose will be well taken care of, loved and appreciated. Best wishes on your search. Aureus Dachshunds
Zachary & sisters Lebanon, TN 11/15/2008 9:52:52 AM We think you should get a toy Shi-Tzu Yorkie mix like we have. They are more playful and good for people with allergies due to human-like hair.
Jenny, Greyhound Supporter New Oxford, PA 11/14/2008 7:03:41 PM Dont listen to Kerry! Get a greyhound Mr. President!!! LOL!

Bobby Lebanon, TN 11/14/2008 1:27:21 PM I can vouch for the Shi-Tsu Yorkshire Terrier mix. I have one and she (Gracie) is good with children and definitely hypoallergenic.
Anna Maple Grove, MN 11/14/2008 8:01:33 AM It will be interesting to see what they choose. I bet the Shi Tzu/Yorkie mix is adorable! I own a Cockapoo and she is a great dog.
