Maggie Lancaster, PA 3/4/2010 7:00:12 AM Certification is not equivelant to Skill. Look for examples of the groomers work, including samples of dogs of the same breed. If you care about the end results that is.
Tommy Pocatello, ID 3/3/2010 9:25:31 AM i wish i could groom them my self but they hate it and i don't want them to hate me. my groom is fabulus thought. my dogs love him and he dose a great job.
kathie brewer, ME 3/3/2010 4:22:35 AM your tips do not matter for people who have had their confidentiality violated and who have been spiritually attacked by their community. stay out of petco.
Shannon Casper, WY 10/15/2009 1:53:27 PM There was a lot of information in the article but something that jumped out at me was the lack of licensing required. I would never take my dog to someone who wasn't licensed and insured and who allowed me to stay.
Anna Maple Grove, MN 2/27/2009 2:43:30 PM These are good things to consider. I do all the grooming for my dog, not only because it's cheaper, but some groomers are very rough. Plus you can do it just the way you like!
Michele Freeport, IL 2/27/2009 9:41:00 AM I'm glad to see such an informative article.I was unaware that groomers didn't need licensing.I am very satisfied with my groomer at Petsmart. They do invite me to watch my dog get her teeth brushed and nails clipped. Thanks for the article!
lala salinas, CA 1/16/2009 3:01:09 PM thanks for the tip it is like at petsmart you have to leave them there for hours
Marie New London, CT 1/8/2009 3:10:49 AM You should also look for someone who isn't afraid to let you watch. If a groomer is against this then something is wrong. I am a professional groomer and enjoy the occasional times people stay. It gives them a true picture of what I do and gets them involved in learning how to really care for their pets coat correctly.
