Great article! Chinese herbs are so beneficial in many ways, it's great to know they can be used to calm an anxious dog. Here are more herbs you can use.

Although herbs are not regulated by the FDA, they are still combinations that should be monitored and medically recorded by veterinarians who are familiar with the herbs. Prescribing them is based on the physical exam by a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, such as the two mentioned in the article. The needs of/ for herbals change with each change in the animals' life and it is best if the animal is in constant contact with a veterinarian familiar with Chinese herbals. The article is a good representation for medicating with herbal combination, but it is best to work directly with someone who can put their hands on a pet that is on any medication to best help the pets.

I agree with Chris (Chicago) Luz (Springfield) and Mike (CA). Where are the ' five ' essential herbs mentioned? This is why people look at your web site, to get where to purchase these herbs. Please correct this asap !!

I got chinese formula for anxiey on the internet on a natural pet store site. The little black ball my dog gets in the late afternoon really helps him focus. He used to bark and run around the house even after 2 daily walks and outdoor running for 30-45 mins. Just couldn't settle and focus and it was getting much worse. The medicine created by a 6th generation Chinese Medical Vet has done wonders! He is not zoned out, still wants to play fetch, and with toys. His panic attacks have stopped, and he's not so sensitive to weird noises.

I too am not seeing which herbs to use and keep at hand. what you mentioned the raw rehmannia root, asparagus tuber, agnelica tang kuei zizyphus schisandra fruit polygala does not help much cause it does not state where u can find these products or does it come in a bottle. So which herbs is appropriate and where can you find these herbs.

I have tried it with my dog and this product does work! She has anxiety and would not meet anyone she did not know. She has been on it for two months now, and has started meeting new people within a few minutes virse a few days in the beginning. I gave this article to my brother who has a dog with anxiety as well. I could not get him even to try the product until he read the article and has now started his dog on the Calm Anxiety as of one week ago.

My dog had extreme anxiety - she would pace back and forth and bark these small whiney tones when she new a thunder storm was coming. Since she has been taking Herbsmith Calm Anxiety, she has been so much better. She is relaxed and lovable no matter what the weather is

I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who is seeing their dog suffer from

Maddie and I can now spend our time exercising and having fun together.
