Christine Kirkwood, NY 1/12/2010 2:21:40 AM when is something going to be done about the puppy mills in New York State ?
Antoinette Riverhead, NY 5/16/2009 4:25:45 PM Ibelieve that all puppy mills should be shut down and be monitored somehow so they can not operate another kennel. We have one here in Riverhead that keeps opening up a pet store with puppy mills and we have tried several times to close them down. If Biden wanted a dog, he should have gone to a shelter where they have plenty of great dogs.
dennis Eagan, MN 4/12/2009 4:13:10 PM It is just wrong to punish a quality dog breeder like the one the Biden's used. She was punished for no reason, and Biden should have stepped in and fired the people (government workers) that punished her.
DONALD THOMPSON WETUMPKA, AL 4/12/2009 12:09:03 PM NOW THAT THE PRESIDENT HAS ACCEPTED A PUPPY FROM SEN. KENNEDY, ARE THEY GOING TO PUBLICLY ATTACK THE SENATOR AS THEY DID A LICENSED BREEDER. WHEN DID IT BECOME ANYONE ELSES BUSINESS WHERE PEOPLE DECIDED TO GET A PET FROM. IF PETA IS SO WORRIED ABOUT THE ANINALS IN THE SHELTERS LET THEM TAKE THE ANIMALS TO THEIR HOMES.
PETA IS WRONG Chino Hills, CA 4/11/2009 10:39:38 AM I love it how PETA wants to comment on how the vice president should have adotped a dog from a shelter. This is coming from a group that does not run a single shelter in the United States. Over the last 10 years PETA has recieved through its adoption program 25,112 animals of those 25,112 animals only 3,083 were found new homes and 21,339 were put down. Their kill percentage is 85% and adoption percentage is 12.28%. This study was published by the Center for Consumer Freedom in April 2009. Maybe PETA should follow their own advice and start treating animals under their care before they go after others.
Jeff Seitzinger richland, PA 4/11/2009 8:03:39 AM I think we need to get something straight here, we also bought a dog from Linda Brown and her kennel is far from a puppy mill, she does not cross breed nor line breed , she has her dogs shipped in from Germany and goes out of her way to preserve the breed. She is also the prefered breeder for the police k9 unit, we could not be happier with our dog and will be going back to Linda when we decide to get another one.
Disgusted Anytown, MD 12/27/2008 4:34:39 AM It blows my nimd how anyone in his position could do something so dense as to purchase a puppy mill puppy when there is so much information out there about how badly the dogs are treated at these mills.... and how over 4,000,000 homeless dogs are put to death every year because the ran out of time at a shelter.
Michele Freeport, IL 12/21/2008 1:25:50 PM When my mom purchased my Dachshund for me 9 years ago,we received a lot of backlash from people who were against pet stores and puppy mills.I'm glad someone finally published an article about how questionable some breeders can be
