I THINK THIS PET TAX BILL IS CRAZY, WE SHOULD NOT BE PUNISHED FOR LOVING AND TAKING CARE OF OUR PETS. I LOVE MY ANIMALS AND THEY ARE WELL TREATED AND TAKEN CARE OF. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO PAY TAXES ON OUR LOVED ONE. I DONT THINK ITS FAIR ONE BIT. I WOULD NEVER GIVE UP MY ANIMALS BUT IF YOU TAX THEM ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO CANT AFFORD THE TAX WILL GET RID OF THERE ANIMALS, THEN IT CREATES MORE PROBLEMS. GET RID OF THE PET TAX

I was up speaking at the Capitol on behalf of the Red Cross pet Disaster Planning info when I found out that this tax was being taken off. I am so thrilled. It was very wrong & ridiculous to put it in with things like car repair & golf. Taking care of your pet should not be a luxury! With all the pets being abandoned because of the economy, why would this be a good idea?! DUH!!

Unbelievable. I thought that the tax bill had passed because our vet clinic charges me tax everytime I go in and my dog has been very sick.

I think its a shame that same states tax their vet bills. I live in MO and I pay taxes on mine, it really eats up money.

I live in NB, Canada and vet services are taxed here. My last bill was to update my dog's vaccinations. For DHP, Parvo, Bordatella and Rabies it cost $85.00. I paid $11.05 for the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) and the final total came to $96.05. I know a lot of people who don't go to the vet unless they absolutely have to. It's sad that it costs so much.

Good! I didn't think it was right to tax vet services! I live in IN, but I know that if CA passed something like that it wouldn't take our governor long before he'd try the same thing!
