Goldendoodles

1)great jogger/cycler companion--can run long distance in cooler
weather
2)I checked genetics on mine. Mother Golden very good, Father Standard Poodle
excellent
3)very little
shedding
4)except for being a little bitier/mouthier than a golden during teething--no
problems
5)cutest dog in the world and mostly Golden
temperament
6)cost $1000 from a family with a female Reddish Golden that they bred with a flawless Apricot Standard
Poodle
7)a mixed pound dog has higher chance of genetic problems than my girl

My husband and I have a 9 month old goldendoodle and we simply love her!! She brings us so much joy - she loves other dogs and people alike. We would never consider another breed after adding her to our family.

I've just acquired a goldendoodle and she is adorable. I am a proponent of adopting a rescue but as you mentioned, one never really knows the genetic issues that could occur. As for pure breeds, there are lots of rescues out there also. I would say look at both breeds possible health issues and behaviours and go from there. The only thing i would never advise is puppy mills and irresponsible breeders, let's put them out of business.

"I do not condone the deliberate cross-breeding of dogs when there are already so many mixed-breed dogs sitting in shelters waiting for good homes, and purebred dogs sitting in breed rescue also waiting for loving homes. I would strongly encourage you to rethink your puppy-purchasing
plans."

If you don't want a purebreed or a rescue for some reason, then don't get a dog? That is a real nice thing to imply. I can't find ONE dog that fits the my requirements (which are only three or four) AND not have a lot problems within their genetic background. Rescues don't have much information with them that may or may not be accureate since no one knows exactly where they all come from. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I have came across this kind of statement multiple times and not much interms of actual information. If any one has any USEFUL information (books, websites, etc) I would appreciate it. I'm looking into Goldendoodles, too.

We have a 3yr old Golden Doodle that is just wonderful, absolutely the smartest, engaging and fun loving, sweetest, calmest, no shedding, family dog all the way is social with other dogs and super healthy. I am so happy we have her and Highly recommend one for any family. I would have 10 more if my husband would let me. I have been a dog owner since I was 9 yrs old Im 42 now and this is the only breed for me. I hope this was helpful.

I have a golden doodle that is wonderful but has allergies and hip problems even though her parents were very healthy...no problems. I would buy another goldendoodle.
