Susan Glendale, AZ 5/3/2009 12:52:29 PM This just goes to show why it is so important for pet owner's to take their pets, to the vet, at least once a year for yearly checkups
CAROLE GLENDALE, AZ 5/3/2009 9:39:16 AM SOMETHING WE ALL PRETTY MUCH KNOW. WILL SAY ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING -- DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SUBJECT YOUR DOG TO ANY TYPE OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE "SHOT" FROM YOUR VET. WE GAVE OUR AKITA THE FIRST SHOT AND HE WAS DEAD BEFORE HE COULD GET THE 2ND ONE THE FOLLOWING WEEK. BEFORE THE DOG GOT THE SHOT, THE VET PRONOUNCED HIM HEALTHY AS A HORSE. FIVE DAYS LATER HIS LUNGS COLLAPSED AND HE WAS GONE.
Rev. Claudia Dearborn Heights, MI 5/3/2009 3:42:23 AM I figured that. My 13 year old Shih Tzu came to me with terrible breath. He was fed an awful diet of all canned food. I have switched him to a great dry food. Unfortunately, he also came to me with a serious heart murmur. My vet said it wouldn't be safe for him to be put under anesthesia :( so I do what I can to clean his teeth.
