The trainer is obviously lying! He should be punished for the dog's jail time and it should be advertised that he is no longer able to "train" dogs!

The breeder from who we bought our German Shepherd Dog asked if we wanted to bring her back to him for training (not for free). We declined because we didn't know how he would treat our dog, and we would never leave her with someone about whom we had no idea of their training methods. We will take her to a weekly dog training school and make her training part of our bonding and play time.

That trainer knows it was wrong to treat an owner that way. I think he is a shady character to behave like that.

What a tragedy. That poor owner will never know what really happenned to his dog and will probably spend many sleepless nights thinking about it. The moral of the story is, be an active part of your dog's training. Never send the dog away!

Wow. That is SO sad. I have been thinking about sending my dog to a trainer. But, that has always been one of the things that worry me, (what if, they get the dog to obey or submit, by threatening or abusing the dog). I mean, you just never know. And also, people are going to read this story and think, all dog trainers are like that. That is really so sad, my condolences to Bob and his family.
