I have had dogs all my life. The French Bulldog/Pit Bull I adopted from the shelter sheds more then any dog I have ever had. Since he is white it looks like snow. But I love him so I deal.

I have 4 female labradors, 4 generations, they shed twice a year their total second coat but also continue to shead daily small amounts of
hair.
I vaccum the hard wood floors daily where the dogs spend most of their time and vacumm the rugs once a week. I can not imagine not doing this. But feel it is a small price to pay for "unconditional" love.

We have a yorkie and a sheperd mix..they have run of the house, and i own a bissel lift off vac. and i luv it..i also have a carpet cleaner(just in case). i dont mind a little extra work...my pets also bathe every two to three days, cause i dont like when they get stinky playing outdoors..but i love my babies...definitely worth a little extra work..

I'm OK with doggie hair. I have a rescued Irish Setter. I'm always hoping to collect enough of her hair so I can have it spun into yarn and then make a sweater.

A little hair never hurt anyone. Unless you're allergic.

Yes, this gets to be a problem with cleaning daily.

I have a 72 pound Newfoundland/Lab cross and a German Shepherd/Pembroke Welsh Corgi cross and a Golden Retriever/Pit/Chow mix who shed profusely and can cover an entire floor with black, fawn, and dark fawn fur. After they've been around it's hard to tell what color the floor is! But it's well worth the clean up. Just get some fur mitts and a sticky roller and a powerful vacuum!!

You learn to live with it. Pet hair is a bummer, but their companionship is worth it!
