So our puppy is 10 weeks old and does the same thing. He is extremely smart - potty trained at 8 weeks, knows the basic command of sit, stay and down. But, he will go from playing to biting hands, feets or grabbing onto a pant leg. My son and daughter told me the next time he does that to just yelp loudly and he would stop, because he doesn't want to hurt me. I tried it tonight and it startled him. So far, it's worked. It's worth a try.

I think your article is a good one except I've tried these suggestions and they do not work with my norwich terrier. He lives up to his nickname "The demon dog." He's super smart and a blast to be with. At 5 months old he walk good on his leash, potties outside, sits, and lays down. I spend a lot of time with him. I just can get him to stop following me around the house barking and biting my feet. I've tried walking with his pull toy, playing a minute then throwing it only to have him return.(I use the pull toy because it's long and I'm tall and Toby's 7" tall). I've tried turning my back w/hands crossed only to get bitten in the calf. Tried time out. (He has his own spot with a 6' lead, his nap bed and toys) He can still see me though. 10 to 15 min later I'll let him loose and he's right back to using me as his play toy. Please help me to stop this behavior.
