Love these suggestions. My dog has not been medicated in over a year, but I still want to make sure that their are not toxins in her body.

This is good practice to do with your dog. Every once in awhile.

Our rescue dog was allergic to everything in packaged dog foods. Miserable itchy skin, chewing feet, and diarrhea. We used Phyto Z For Dogs to detox him and saw relief in two weeks. It took a double dose to help him detox, but now we include it in his daily diet to prevent flare ups. He is back on quality dry dog food and doing great. We love Phyto Z because it's organic, gentle, and affordable.

For detoxing your dog I would also provide a full spectrum trace mineral supplement like Phtyo Z for Dogs, which contains natural Zeolite. (Disclaimer: I do sell this product, but also personally use it on my dog and it has worked great for him!).

I recently use VitaHound's detox product for heavy metals including lead. The formulation is apparently derived from autism treatments. Our dog Sandy recovered from being very lethargic, I was hoping to find others who have experience in metal detox with their beloved dogs.

This is a 'reponsible' article about the use of 'herbal' medicines and non pharmaceuticals with the precision necessary when dealing with the canine - and written by an animal doctor. Thank you for reprinting this ! Very good info indeed.
