Maggie Lancaster, PA 11/13/2009 4:01:29 AM I hope it's taught by an independent nutritionist and not a rep from a food company! It does sound interesting. But you can bend studies, statistics, and information to support nearly any argument. I had a dog food manufacturer tell me why the junk products (such as corn) was a good ingredient to use. He was very believeable! BTW, as far as the stores go, they do have to make money and some people simply can't or won't feed the better products. Especially in this economy. So I disagree that they should stop offering the lesser foods, even though they are not nutritious and may be harmful. Heck, that would be like forcing the fast food restaurants to close! ;-)
Lana Roseburg, OR 11/12/2009 5:18:34 PM The seminar sounds great, however, Petco sells some of the worst pet foods ever made. I know we have a choice when it comes to pet food, however, I wish pet supply stores would stop selling foods that are making our pets sick. Just look up the effects of corn, wheat, soy, corn gluten, wheat gluten, meat-by-products and of chemical preservatives BHA and BHT on your pets and see what you find, then look at the ingredients on most of the food labels on the shelves at Petco.
JamieLyn Howell, NJ 11/12/2009 9:30:04 AM good nutrition is so important to health. most people don't realize some of the things that are in their pets food
Judy Oak Lawn, IL 11/12/2009 5:48:05 AM I think this is a great idea, especially in light of all the pet food recalls. It should be a great help for dog guardians
