Phyllis Manchester, NH 7/16/2010 4:22:06 PM Oh just reading this brings tears to my eyes. Last summer, not quite a year yet we had to put our 12 year old American Eskimo down. He had developed a degenerative nerve disease that was taking the use of his back legs. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. But I also found comfort in the very peaceful way it happened. We were with him, and that was how it was suppose to be. Still not over the fact he is not with us anymore, but know he is playing and running again like he should be.
Barbara Williston, FL 7/16/2010 4:17:50 PM Bless little Yodi. I am sure the Angels helped her with her journey over the Rainbow Bridge. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to overcome in one's lifetime. I lost my Lucy several years ago, and I still think of her always.
Shannon Millington, TN 7/16/2010 8:25:29 AM Thanks for the story. I just lost my senior dog just a couple of months ago. I take comfort in knowing that I got her out of an abusive home and have her many good years. She was a fantastic dog and she will be missed.
Judy Oak Lawn, IL 7/16/2010 1:49:04 AM This is a wonderful article. Losing a companion animal I think is the most difficult thing a pet guardian has to deal with. It does leave a hole in your heart
