Barbara Dothan, AL 7/25/2011 5:29:57 PM Great information. I have a 2 yr. old Chorkie, who also looks like a Yorkie. I let his hair grow long and he was beautiful. I am now keeping it clipped short because he is so hot natured. I noticed after the groomer SHAVED him, not the close clip I asked for, that the texture of his hair did change from soft and silky to rough. That's when I decided to keep it short after trying to let it grow out again.
