Melissa Van Domelen Banks, OR 8/14/2007 10:05:00 AM Hello! I was thrilled and suprised to find a Hovawart on the cover of Dog World Magazine ! It was in November of 2005 I discovered the Hovawart in an article in Dog Fancy . This led me to Susan Garka (a breeder and founding member of the American Hovawart Club) I now own a blond male Hovi and am active in the AHC( I am the newsletter editor)Now to my point. Although the Hovawart was on the cover, there was no info on the dog itself( who was he/she?). I would of also expected a special article on the Hovi as you did with the Toy Fox Terrier ( that had a tiny picture and NOT a rare breed)since the issue focused on Rare Breeds and you singled out the Hovawart for the cover. AND there was no mention of the AHC in the club listings! There are 3 clubs in the USA. You listed the AHC in your article in 2005, but we were left out this time! Our club is a very active club with wonderful members. We have a show once a year in July. This year it was in Chelan Washington and was a great sucess. So, I was happy to see the Hovi on the cover but was TERRIBLY let down when I got ot home to actually read it. Melissa Van Domelen
