How is it hurting ANYONE that this(or any other winner) is fed a special meal in a separate room from other patrons of the restaurant?!?!? These dogs are cleaner, healthier & more mannerly than most of the human restaurant-goers. Now I've never been to a formal dog show, however I've been to many Cat Fancier's Association shows & believe me when I tell you that these "owners & showers" of these animals are VERY PARTICULAR about anyone going near their animals & don't expect to pet one without their DIRECT CONSENT & OBSERVATION! Now I'll get off my soapbox...but PLEASE just leave things alone already! Too many stupid rules & regulations just suck the fun out of everything!

Ann Staten Island, NY 2/16/2012 5:14:11 PM I think it's awful that the NYC Health Dept. has made this decision. The dog is not even taken into the front doors of the restaurant, rather into a private entrance, there is a small foyer with an elevator that takes him to a private room. I've no doubt Mr. Sardi would be turning over in his grave if this tradition is stopped, he was a very devoted dog owner and lover.
Kelley Tulsa, OK 2/16/2012 4:58:36 PM Boo on you New York health commish party pooper!! Its not like the dog is wallowing around in the gravy licking steak off the counters in the kitchen! He is seated at a table like the other guests, and Im sure he is probably cleaner than most of them!!
