Sarah - 243618 Port Charlotte, FL 5/9/2013 8:31:38 AM This was very informative. It's great to know other options rather than just thinking you have to vaccinate against everything. Letting something run its course and using alternative remedies to help manage the cough is probably a better way to handle than problem.

Eileen - 249708 Port Perry, ON 10/28/2012 1:55:55 PM At our dog club we all get reminded regular to get our dog treatment to prevent Kennel Cough. This year we told there is a new strain more severe of Kennel Cough that has surfaced, at least here in Canada. At our club it is mandatory to get your dog Bordetella Vaccine. I am happy about this because as a club we are all working toward keeping our dogs a healthy as possible.
LaurenM Somewhere, GA 8/24/2012 12:31:21 PM When we first adopted our dog from the pound, she developed kennel cough. She was hacking so hard it scared me half to death!
Terry Pittsburgh, PA 3/26/2012 10:42:57 AM My rescue dog kept getting kennel cough – and I didn’t realize but he had a weak immune system and that’s why it kept coming back. He was getting bad food at the shelter and so I started him on a grain-free Alpha dog food and started working on improving his immune system. We also started exercising – and eventually his kennel cough stopped coming back. I think this would probably help with any sickness – nutrition with a good food like Natural Balance and moving around daily – keeps dogs strong.
