sal guido roswell, NM 9/17/2007 12:49:41 PM Very impressive. I appreciate what the Senator is trying ti do as a first step toward humane behavor to our four-legged family members: the law is not harsh enough: six months mandatory(no plea bargan) AND a $200.00 fine is a fair start to protect these helpless creatures. Murder is murder-- wether it's the life of a pet or a human.
Cheril Amarillo, TX 9/17/2007 9:23:33 AM I can see this as an issue in other states, as well. I work for a Family Law attorney and from time-to-time issues regarding the family pet(s) aris.

Julie & Justin Chesterfield, MO 9/17/2007 7:39:42 AM That should be a law in every state, people don't understand that animals have feeling too and suffer from the same mental probs that we do, depression when someone dies or being terrified when abused by the people who are suppose to protect them.
