Park Description

The facility comprises 1.68 acres of land divided into two separate and secure areas. The larger area is 1.3 acres and is for the larger and more active dogs and the smaller area, .38 acres, is for smaller and less active dogs. Six foot chain-link fencing is used throughout the facility with entry into either of the two compounds through a double-gated entrance for extra security. Other amenities include a water hydrant available for use inside the facility, trash receptacle, benches, and a dog waste station where bags will be available for waste cleanup. The facility is available for use all year long.
A set of rules is posted at the entrance and dog owners failing to comply with them can be asked to leave and may be subject to being ticketed depending upon the infraction. Owners are responsible for the actions and behavior of their dog(s). No aggressive dogs are allowed. Any waste is to be cleaned up and disposed of prior to leaving. All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, be wearing their identification and permit tags and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. No children under 13 years of age are allowed unless accompanied by a responsible adult. No more than two dogs per adult are allowed per visit. By following these and other rules posted the City is hoping to provide a clean and healthy facility for dogs and their owners to use. Please be respectful of other dogs and dog owners. Be sure to keep the gates closed at all times and remember that use of a leash is required until you are securely within the chain-link fencing.
