Park Description

The new park opened Saturday, October 17, 2009 at George Ward Park and dog owners from across the area flocked to 2.6-acre spot despite a slow, chilly drizzle. The park, with separate areas for large and small dogs, will be open dawn till dusk.
Dogs are allowed into the park by a double gated fence to ensure that off-leash dogs inside the park cannot run out. Once the first gate is securely closed, dog and owner may enter into the off-leash area through a second gate.
