Our 7-1/2 year old not neutered male Yorkie has "suddenly" within a week got a Patch (size of bottom of pop can) on his side of hair lose. No redness, no bumbs, not itching, not scaley, no marks at all. There appears to be slight re-growth of hair. I put our topical anitbiotic cream on it, he didn't mind and allowed us to do so with no objection. We bathe him every 10-12 days, always have, same shampoo & cram rinse. No change of diet or environment. He is not ill and we are concerned though! What "could" be going on?

We recently purchased a 7 month old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and she is currently in heat. We would like to breed her when she is 2-3 years old, but for now I would like to know more about how long this lasts and the best way to handle it for her and for us.
