Part of taking good care of your dog includes protecting him from the many parasites to which he might be exposed during his life. It makes good sense for his health, and in many cases, protects the human members of your family from illness as well. Avoiding other disease agents, such as the fungi that cause ringworm and the virus that causes rabies, is often simply a matter of taking a few precautions that will protect you and your dog.
