Alaskan MalamuteDouble Coats
Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna has been showing dogs since 1970, and has bred more than 50 champions in her very limited breeding program. She is the owner of the youngest Group-winning Alaskan Malamute in the history of her breed; breeder of multiple all-breed BIS winners and national specialty winners; and breeder of the No. 1 Malamute (all systems) for 2004. One of her female Malamutes took BOB at the 2004 national specialty as well. She is an AKC judge, licensed for BIS, Working and Sporting Groups, and provisional for half of the Herding Group breeds.

Rules
1. The coat must be clean and in good condition!

2. Use a quality conditioner after bathing.

3. Blow dry the coat with a powerful non-heat dryer that will remove remaining dead hair, and not dry out the coat. Make sure the coat is completely dry and no moisture is trapped next to the skin.

4. The coat must be "line combed" out to remove all dead hairs from the undercoat that pack against the skin, and to get the coat to stand up.

5. Trim the feet for neatness.

Tools
1. I use Traleigh Coconut Breeze shampoo, and Traleigh Velvet Touch conditioner.

2. I absolutely love the K-9 II dog dryer from the Electric Cleaner Company. (Its the most important item I use!)

3. Chris Christensen pin brush

4. Greyhound dog comb

5. Super Coat by Cindra

6. Crown Royale Bodifier
