Just like AKC judges, show dog breeders make up the backbone of purebred conformation. They are responsible for the look, health and temperament of pet and champion dogs today and in the future.
These show dog breeders, while they may be gone now, have impacted the sport by breeding the exceptional purebred dogs of the past. Many made their mark with a specific dog breed, pioneered the creation of a new breed or established a foreign breed in the United States, handled top dogs and judged many of the world's best dogs in the ring.
