National Clubs are the parent clubs for each AKC-recognized dog breed in the Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding groups. In total there are nearly 170 breed-specific parent clubs that make up the American Kennel Club, and there is only one official, AKC-recognized National Club for each breed. Each National Club maintains the breed standard of its dog breed in order to educate conformation dog show judges.

For more information about a specific breed in the one of the groups, please visit the website of the breed's National Breed Club.
