1. The Chow is not suitable for owners who do not understand the breeds unique temperament.
2. Think about whether you are ready for dog ownership in general and, more specifically, Chow ownership.
3. The Chow is loyal to his owners, but he is not a dog that will shower his family with affection.
4. The Chow prefers life as an only child, but, nonetheless, he must be well socialized with people, other animals and different experiences to become a well-adjusted dog that is stable in temperament.
