GREAT suggestions and comments. I'm TRULY sold on this wonderful breed! The APBT is second to NONE and out of ALL the breeds i've owned=GSD's, beagles/mixes, and rotts for 15 years, i would never own another breed. They are NOT what the media would have you believe, but on the same token they are NOT a breed for everyone: high energy, can be stubborn=need a firm, but controlled hand and one must get used to being "judged" if you choose to own them. Again, GREAT advice to do your home work PRIOR to ownership.
Can NOT say enough good about them!!!!! They have seriously stolen my heart~hook, line and sinker!
nice read!

I was one of "Those people" You know.....The ones that dont like the Pitbull, I have family that use to raise them to fight. Not backyard scraps but big money fights. His dogs sold for over 3000.00. That is all I knew of yhe breed, they were "fighters." So you could imagine my shock when my daughter showed up weth her new pup. I told her it could stay a day or two and it had to go. To my suprise over the next couple of days I played around with him and realized this was not the agressive dog that I knew the breed to be. After pouring over websites to inform myself about this pup(4months old) I have come to the conclusion that in a nutshell it boils down to how you raise raise them. This pup shows no agression Is happy taking a walk then a nap with me on the sofa. Oh yeah ...did I mention this pup that had to be gone in two days is now like a member of my family. I would not give him up for the world. Had I not educated myself on the American Pitbull Terrior I would have passed up a chance to own this excellent dog. All because of what I thought I knew about them.
