Boston Terrier Overview

Is this devoted breed for you?

1. The Bostons only job is to be a wonderful companion. He's loyal, friendly and intelligent, a great choice for dog owners with doggie smarts.

2.  The Boston is a relatively small dog, with a short coat and short muzzle. His grooming needs are minimal, but owners must take precautions that these short-faced dogs do not overheat and be aware of potential breathing problems.

3.  The Boston thrives on his familys attention and companionship. You must be prepared to spend time with your Boston, training him, doing activities with him and making him a true part of your life and home.

4.  Do you know what it takes to care for a Boston, or any dog for that matter? Is your entire family ready? Do you have time for a dog, as well as money for healthcare, supplies, etc.?

We fell in love with our Boston from the very beginning. She was very smart, loved to play, loved to chew on bones, and loved to ride in the car and take walks. She and our Italian greyhound were best friends. A Boston is a wonderful addition to anyone who is ready to give them your heart and attention. She is no longer with us but we will definately be getting another Boston.

I was adopted by my 1st Boston a year ago and can't tell you how much I adore him. He was thrown out of his home and found his way to me. There was no discussion, he was moving in.I have 4 cats and 3 grandsons. the cats tolerate and the boys adore. His best bud is the youngest male cat. He loves to ride and goes everywhere with us. He had his pic taken with the boys and Santa...so cute.I love this dog he's almost perfect.
