He told me that Goldie was doing fine and that he is 99.9% sure that the mass is just a fatty tumor!! YAY!! We will still send it out to the lab to be 100% sure. He said that he was confident that he could remove the entire mass, so he did! YAY!! He said it wasn’t as large as it felt. It had gotten between an area that made it spread out and kind of flatten a bit, and that is why it felt so big. He was so happy!! He made my day!! He said he has seen so many of them and pretty much can tell what they are. That is why he is very confident that this is just a benign fatty tumor! WHEW!! Goldie has stitches and will have to have them removed next Thursday. She is on strict rest until about Wednesday. I took a cone home with me in case she starts licking the area. So far she isn’t. She is just laying on her bed by the fireplace and resting. Benny is keeping her company. LOL! He sure did miss her all day! I didn’t get her any pain meds as they told me she would be alright and if there was a little pain it would keep her from being too active. But, I can come get some if I need it. He really didn’t think she would need any from watching her this afternoon. She is being so good about it all and just resting. ~~~~~~ When we got home, she walked all the way down to her “poop” area, which is over 250 ft. from the house! I told her that she could go by the house, but she insisted on going where she normally does. So, I walked down with her. She was walking very slowly. Then we walked back. She did great!! What a trooper!! ~~~~~~ I am sooooooooooooooooo happy to have her back home!! I know you girls know that feeling!! I will offer her some food in a little while, but will let her decide if she wants some or not. Hopefully she will eat a little. ~~~~~ She won’t be able to go downstairs until she gets her stitches out, so the kitties will be missing her. I will have to bring them up one or two at a time so they can visit with her. I can’t handle all of them at once! LOL! Maybe if Johnny was here I could, but not by myself. The young ones will get into too much mischief! LOL! ~~~~~~ So now the only thing is waiting for the results from the lab. The girl thought it would probably be about a week. She figures that they will know by the time Goldie comes to get her stitches removed. I hope so! I need that piece of mind! Maybe it will be a good Christmas after all!! ~~~~~~ I will keep you updated on how Goldie does the next few days, but I am sure she will be fine. ~~~~~~ Thank you all for all of your prayers! They worked!! You girls are the best!! ~~~~~~ Hugs and love…Karen, Goldie & the Kitties ~~~~
