Inside Westminster Dog Show 2006

For the people and dogs competing at Westminster, winning isn't the only good thing.

"I like talking to all the people who come to the show," she said.

Aside from meeting people, Jane Nolan and Linda Reece said showing their dog and watching the show is exciting. Although their Smooth Fox Terrier, Ch. Springhill HiSociety Himself, didn't take the group win for the terriers, Reece and Nolan were still proud of him.

"He did remarkably well," Reece said. "We're pleased with his performance, pleased to be here and proud to show him."

Reece described all the dogs at Westminster as the creme de la creme of show dogs. So it seems fitting that the dogs be there for more than just the judge's eye, they're there for the spectators, too.

"We come to the Garden to show him to everyone not just the judges," Reece said.

When you look at it that way, every trip to Westminster is more than worthwhile.
