Clumber Spaniel

This hunting breed has a nose above the rest.

Slow and steady afield
With their highly sensitive noses and stout, compact bodies, Clumber Spaniels make ideally built upland game hunters with a natural ability to almost silently scent and track birds through dense, rough terrain.

Helen M., a longtime Clumber owner in Wisconsin, says their sniffer is like no other.

“The Clumber nose is definitely a breed characteristic above other breeds,” she says. “There are several hunting breeds, but I rank the Clumber nose right up at the top of the list. This gives the breed a high aptitude for hunting and also for tracking.”
