L.A. County to Unveil Dogfighting Tip Line
Los Angeles County prosecutors and the Humane Society of the United States will launch a 24-hour tip line and reward program aimed at eliminating dogfighting. District Attorney Steve Cooley will unveil the new number at a press conference Tuesday. Officials said the program is the first of its kind in the nation, The Associated Press reports.

A dog survived unscathed after plunging 65 feet off cliffs into the sea during a walk with his new owners. Andy and Joanna Finlay had just picked up the German Shepherd Dog and stopped on their way home. But 5-year-old Twinnie backed over nearby cliffs, and landed in the sea, narrowly missing rocks, BBC News reports.
