Diane International 2/25/2015 9:15:34 PM I too thought it must be silly. But in fact, it's true.I first tried it out on my dog, Zorro, who had a black nose when I found him but ended up with a wide streak of pink up the middle. I switched to a stainless steel bowl and within a couple of months, his nose (after years with the pink) went back to black.I've told several people with pink/white streaked nosed dogs and they had the same results. Perhaps it's a chemical reaction-- perhaps it's because the plastic is somehow more abrasive. This of course is not going to change a nose that started out pink-- like a Brittany spaniel, etc.
