1/4-1/2 cup per day?? On the back of the bag of my Yorkies food it says 1/2 - 3/4 cup per day.

She free feeds on her kibble and I cook for her. She is three. I feed her 4 small meals a day instead on two bigger ones. I find that she doesn't have any food left in her tummy by morning when the last feed is at 5:30pm. So she gets her "snack" before bedtime. Works great. No more throwing up bile on occasional mornings. My dog is 12" (back) and about 9" tall. She has maintained a weight of just under 7 pounds for the past 1.5 years. She walks at least three times a day and at least two play/discipline/trick training sessions per day. I also cook for her and is where her 3/4 cooked food comes in/per day. Plus she free feeds on kibble as said. Se is not a gorger, just easts what she wants and that's it until next time. Usually cleans her plate but sometimes she doesn't eat all of it. I measure each of High Quality, organic protein, carbs and fibres too. I use a ratio of 40% protein, 30% car and 30% fibre. We skip the (brown rice or rolled oats) fibre at dinner time and last snack. Is a learning curve but she is healthy. Soft coat and nice teeth. (we brush at least 1X daily) I also add a touch (1/8 tsp) of lemon juice to her distilled water to help keep her PH in check. Comments welcome. Thank you for this info.

The yorkie in the picture, what is this dogs colors called. I have a yorkie, she looks like this one and her papers say her color is blue and gold. She weighs about 9 lbs. is this a standard yorkie or what would you call her?
