i have a lab that is 1 year and has a problem chewing on his dog house and his light bulb inside, every time he chews on one thing he gets a slap but he doesn't learn to not do that again. he is left alone between 8:30 and 4:00. he gets a bone every 3rd day and played with for 10 mins a morning and 1 and a half hour at night. what should i do.

I have 2 shih tzu puppies. 5 and 12 months. The 12 month old chews furniture, walls and even the hardwood floor. She has lots of plush and chew toys and loves to play with her little sister but the minute we leave the house she attacks the furniture. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You offer no suggestions to deal with this behavior. I expect a puppy to want to chew and know it could be a harmful habit. I would like to see helpful information, not just "informative" information.
