marlane mt clemens, MI 1/1/2008 2:24:19 PM i quit for twenty years, then started up again 5 years ago. i agree that a dog would help. ihave a six year old black cocker spaniel, benny. i used to walk him every day for one hour. then i started smoking and it has all but killed my motivation, for anything. i only do what i absolutely must do(get up, go to work, etc. my dog motivates me to quit. start walking your dog. doggy keeps you company and it's not the least bit boring with a companion. i have estra incentive as well, since my place of work has banned all smoking on the premises, anywhere near, including in your car in the parking lot!
