Please all who can, take a disaster preparedness course & a pet first aid class in your area so you know how to take care & provide for your animals in time of crisis & need. I am a pet first aid instructor with the American Red Cross & this is SO very important!! Hope all who love animals take this class & if they don't have it in your area then find out where they do have it & GO. Or, if you are interested in becoming a teacher let them know. Thanks!!

I'm so glad that Katrina taught a lesson in taking care of not only the people but the animals too.

What a relief that people had some warning & a system was in place to house the pets!

At least this time the animals were looked after before the storm. Good luck to all the pets and owners!

It was heartbreaking watching what happened after katrina, so what they have done this time around has been great, pets are part of the family and it is like leaving a family member behind so they really stepped up and did what is right and took care of these pets. Great job.
