Amen, I have hep.c too and I would not want my fur babies, to get it because of me. I love them all.

Maimicrackhead, you are the sick person thinking it! Our concern is clearly not sick but dogs give kisses as licks and if one has cuts as stated, or the dog catches a lick to ones lip unexpectedly then the concern for our canine is
real.

It's unfortunate that one sick A hole makes you so disturbed for the rest of human kind.

Thanks for information. I have hep c and my dog and I play rough and he cuts me a lot with hisnnails. Then I sometimes wake up and he's been licking the scab and has it bleeding again and is licking the blood. Thanks again

What a relief! My dog, like most dogs, wants to lick scratches & cuts on my hands. I was concerned. And MIAMICRACKHEADS_INC. I am EXACTLY the kind of "sick person" who would ask that question cos I do NOT want to pass this awful disease on to human OR my furbabies!

What kind of sick people would ask such a disturbing question!!! I stumbled upon this because my cousin was caught molesting his stepson's pet dog? WOW

My brown lab of 9 years came down with hepitatis and I also have 2 yellow labs who now I am worried about getting sick. They use the same bowls to drink and eat their food. I also was afraid that my children would catch this from our pet. I have been going crazy worrying and cleaning and washing everything that Coco has touched.

Interesting, should a regular liver tests be part of a healthy dog check up?

Thanks for the info. I have a narcotics canine and he stuck his foot witha needle during a search warrant. The suspect has hep c. Have been really concerned. Didn't ask my vet about it. Stress off my back. Much relieved.

I am glad I found this article I was recently in the home of someone with hep c and hep a and was licked on open skin by their dog. I was told by the health department that dogs can get it but can't find any information on the internet to verify it. I hope it is not true.
